Olivia Dunne shows unglamorous reality of life as a gymnast: 'The side media doesn't see'
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: TikTok star and LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne shared a video showcasing her uneven bars routines. However, before that clip, she showed her fans a side of her life that she does not often open up about.
Dunne is well known for balancing her gymnastics career, involving harrowing practice sessions with little breaks, with her social media career. Despite her success, she has acknowledged that balancing her career, gymnastics, and education is challenging.
Olivia Dunne showcases her glamorous side
With an incredible 7.8 million TikTok followers, the 21-year-old never fails to keep her fans guessing. However, she recently decided to give them a glimpse into what her life is really like.
She took to TikTok to post two comparison pictures, comparing what her fans see to what her life is actually like. She captioned the post, "The side the media doesn't see," to set the record straight.
Olivia Dunne appeared in the video in two different settings. One was from a professional photoshoot, where she posed in her LSU outfit with a crown on her head, looking glamorous as usual.
The other image served as evidence that an athlete's life is not always glamorous. Dunne was curled up on a sofa, tired after a harrowing day of practice.
Livvy, who was also referred to as the "beam queen," also attracted attention with her asymmetrical bar routines. She had scored an incredible 9.9 at the 2020–21 SEC Championships, leading LSU to the silver medal.
Despite having torn biceps and labrums during her 2023 season debut, she received a score of 9.85 in the uneven bars. Although the media was not privy to Olivia's true self, they were recently given a glimpse of her cautious and benevolent side as she adopted a dog, Roux, and also spent her time making others' lives happier.
Olivia Dunne fosters bonds with patients at hospital
The 21-year-old added some sunshine to the hospital beds. She recently visited Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health to spend time with the children at the place. "Love spending time at @ololchildrens," she wrote on her Instagram story.
The stories made it evident that gymnast had already developed a bond with them over their adorable crafts. She created a crossed pink and blue ribbon symbol using finger painting. It was the symbol of cancer awareness.
The 21-year-old has also been preparing for the upcoming Championships as she continues to share little glimpses into her practice life. The end of the season will, hopefully, be a memorable occasion.
