Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes' love connection may lead to lucrative opportunities as ‘hot power couple'
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: In the world of sports, a burgeoning power couple is making waves as gymnast Olivia Dunne, aged 20, and emerging MLB star Paul Skenes, aged 21, kindle a promising romance.
Since going public with their relationship in August, the dynamic pair's combined fame and potential collaborative opportunities have captured the attention of PR experts, who anticipate a wealth of financial prospects on the horizon.
Olivia Dunne, renowned as a college gymnastics sensation at Louisiana State University (LSU), boasts an extensive social media following, elevating her status as a prominent figure in both the gymnastics realm and various online platforms.
Meanwhile, Paul Skenes, a rising star within the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, made headlines as the top overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft. Notably, both Dunne and Skenes share a close tie to LSU.
In mid-August, Skenes himself officially confirmed their relationship, cementing their status as a public couple. Now, the question arises: How can these two gifted athletes harness their romantic connection for financial gain?
A 'new power couple' with profit potential
Eric Schiffer, Chairman of the esteemed Los Angeles-based firm Reputation Management Consultants, has provided exclusive insights to The US Sun regarding the potential avenues that Dunne and Skenes can explore to capitalize on their high-profile relationship.
“Olivia and Paul are destined to be the next hot power couple,” Schiffer told The US Sun.
According to Schiffer, it's because of "their star power, their relevance with young people, and the giant engagement that the two of them together bring to anything that they’re doing.”
During the discussion, Schiffer explained how both individuals could benefit financially as a couple. “Typically what happens when you have two stars that individually are doing well financially, and they’re together spending time, it benefits both brands," Schiffer added.
"So you could see an increase of anywhere from 10 to 30, upwards of 40 percent, to the revenue potential of them individually. If the couple gets married, that number could rise," Schiffer said.
He continued, “There’s exclusive things that they may do or events they may do, and even advertising. There’s additional millions available for them as a couple.”
Impact of Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes' Romance
While the confirmation of Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes' relationship has undoubtedly delighted some fans, it has also left a trail of "broken hearts," as noted by Eric Schiffer, Chairman of Reputation Management Consultants.
Before the official announcement, the couple had subtly teased their relationship on social media, fueling speculation among their dedicated followers.
Schiffer acknowledged the emotional impact of their romance, stating: "There are a lot of broken hearts of fans and those who had hoped for an opportunity perhaps."
But on the flip side, he said there are also "a lot of people who are delighted and wish them the best [and] certainly hope that things go wonderfully for both of them.” So far, Skenes has revealed that it is "nice" to be with someone who understands the athlete lifestyle.
"It can be a pain in the butt sometimes, to be honest, in terms of actually going somewhere," he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "If one of us went out in Baton Rouge [Louisiana] by ourselves, there's probably gonna be someone there asking for something — picture, autograph, whatever."
