Nikki Haley remains 'unfazed' after Whoopi Goldberg does a Don Lemon and questions her age

Whoopi Goldberg took aim at Nikki Haley by saying, 'You're not a new generation, you're 51' on 'The View'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Nikki Haley, a Republican running for president in 2024, reacted to Whoopi Goldberg's most recent criticism, which claimed that the former UN ambassador is not considered a member of the "new generation" due to her age. Goldberg presented a clip of Haley asking for a new generation of leaders in Washington, DC, before remarking, "You're not a new generation, you're 51," during a segment on 'The View.'

The 67-year-old host's thoughts were similar to CNN host Don Lemon's, who was slammed last week for making sexist comments about Haley's age when he stated she wasn't in her "prime." Haley opened up about the negative press surrounding her decision to take on former President Trump and other candidates for the GOP nomination.

'They will come at me with everything'

"It’s not new," Nikki Haley stated. "This happened when I ran for governor. I’ve had this all my life. When I was first elected governor, there were some minority Democrats that said 'she’s not a minority, she’s just a conservative with a tan.' They will come at me with everything. But none of that fazes me," said Haley as reported by Fox News.

'It means we’re winning'

Despite not expecting that her age would be the main target of the liberal media's criticism, Haley stated she was ready to become one of their top targets. "If my age is all they have, it means we’re winning," she claimed. "I’m okay with that," she added. 

Internet calls Whoopi Goldberg 'hateful' 

The internet is quick to react to Haley's counter-attack with one user tweeting, "Very true, and Whoopi might want to worry about her own age and health." Another user wrote,"Absolutely true." One user noted, "Need an age limit on tv personality‘s." Anothe user remarked, "Her age is the least of my concerns, her ties to the globalists is my top concern." Another user slammed Goldberg and wrote,"I used to love Whoopi on TV and in Movies but she is now a hateful, closed minded sarcastic, verbal bully that foolishly believes in her own self importance. She needs to get out of politics and go back to doing something she knows how to do and act." "How old is Whoopi again? I guess that means that she is out of touch also, noted a person. "Nikki is 51. Harris is 56. Any comments whoopsi? I didn’t think so," remarked a  user. "SO if Haley's age is worthy of discussion, Whoopi's weight is also, claimed a user.
