Nipsey Hussle's family gathers for private burial to be held at Lawn Forest Hills in LA
Nipsey Hussle's private burial will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills with the service taking place at 1.30 pm on Friday. In addition, the Los Angeles Council too will adjourn it's meeting on the day in honor of the rapper.
In another move of remembering him, Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson introduced a motion on naming the Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue intersection as the Nipsey Hussle Square.
During the three-hour service held at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Thursday, people closest to Hussle, including his actress-fiancee Lauren London, rapper Snoop Dogg, and his mother, shared some memorable moments which ended with a montage of Hussle's videos set to his song 'Dedication.'
A procession followed soon after that spanned 25-miles stretching from the downtown area into South Los Angeles and past Hussle's Marathon clothing store. Hussle's casket was draped in the flag of his father's native country Eritrea in East Africa.
Hussle, 33, was shot and killed in front of his South Los Angeles store on March 31. Police have arrested Eric Ronald Holder, 29, in the shooting, saying it was the result of a personal dispute between the two men. He was shot five times in the torso and one time in the head and was declared dead at the California Hospital Medical Center.
Although there were huge crowds during the procession, the day remained peaceful aside from a few minor incidents.
