Nicole Kidman felt her 'association' with Tom Cruise made her a star after string of 'not very good' early movies
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Kidman has always had a calm facade covering something that is obviously, blatantly complex. Kidman and Cruise worked together in several movies. They first met in the feature 'Days of Thunder.' Kidman and Cruise were married from 1990 to 2001. Kidman was somewhat taken off guard by the split at the time.
There was a time when Kidman acknowledged that she became a star only because of Tom Cruise's association and she can't be more grateful for that. Meanwhile, Kidman's ex appears to enjoy his singlehood lifestyle amid alleged rumors that Cruise is once again "on the prowl" and desperate to find "someone special." Following their appearance together at the Miami Grand Prix of the Formula 1 in May, Cruise and Shakira have recently been allegedly linked.
'I don’t deserve to be here'
The Oscar winner appears to be reluctant to discuss her relationship with Cruise. She deliberately avoids answering them since they frequently relate to Scientology, which Kidman does not address. She did, however, once acknowledged that having the action actor as a husband provided some level of growth to her journey in the entertainment industry.
Kidman once told Glamour: "I felt I became a star only by association. I didn’t think [my early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background. I thought, I don’t deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars and I would think, ‘I’m here to support him.'"
But Kidman's career flourished even after she divorced Cruise. She appeared in highly acclaimed films including 'The Hours', for which she received the Best Actress Oscar. Finally, she found new love with her present spouse Keith Urban. "I’m in a place of gratitude and humility. I touch wood every day. The journey of life – we all go through it," she remarked.
Tom Cruise determined to find new romance
The 'Mission Impossible' star, Cruise has allegedly lost his status as Hollywood's dream boy and is currently the least eligible bachelor in the industry. Despite leaving a lasting impression as a leading action figure, it seems the 'Top Gun: Maverick' star can't help making poor headlines for his dating pet peeves.
Reportedly, the Hollywood sensation is back "on the prowl" and hoping to find "someone special," following a string of failed romances. Cruise has been married three times: to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes, from whom he divorced in 2012. During the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Shakira, who is currently single, caught his eye. However, it was reported that the well-known Colombian singer didn't return the favor and wasn't prepared for a committed relationship after splitting from her longtime lover, Gerard Pique.

Following their encounter at the Miami Grand Prix of the Formula 1 in May, Cruise and Shakira have allegedly been linked. The 'Mission Impossible' star was allegedly "extremely interested in pursuing" Shakira and "desperate" for a date. According to The Mirror, the Colombian singer shrugged aside reports of an affair with Cruise and said that she had no interest in dating at the moment.
