INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA: The Trinidadian singer and songwriter, Nicki Minaj, took the crowd accumulated at the Rolling Loud California into frenzy as she dropped halfway through the performance of Lil Wayne on Saturday, March 4. On Friday, she also released her new song, 'Red Ruby Da Sleeze'.

Rolling Loud California, considered to be one of the greatest stages for hip hop music, witnessed a number of stars performing during the weekend long festival that started on March 3. As Wayne was halfway through his performance after “Blunt Blowin,” “I’m Goin In,” “Rich as F**k,” “Duffle Bag Boy,” “Mrs. Officer” and “Lollipop,” the ‘Starships’ hitmaker, Minaj, 40, entered the stage in full galore.

The ‘Trollz’ singer posted the clip of her entry on her Instagram account with the caption, “Shout out my VATOS. s/o da h@3s dats watchin me like movados ⌚️ THE GOAT was in Cali last night 🌌 #MulaBaaaabay 📹📸 @grizzleearts”.

The ‘Queen’ Minaj joined the ‘Bling Bling’ rapper halfway through the performance of 'BedRock'. Later, the duo performed their two original collaborations, 'High School' and 'Truffle Butter'. The queen of rap also surprised her fans with a small portion of ‘Super Freaky Girl’.

‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze’

Seven months after her ‘Super Freaky Girl’, ‘Barbie’ Minaj dropped her first single of 2023, ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze’ on Friday, March 3. Within hours of dropping the song, it topped the iTunes chart and became the No. 1 trending news of Twitter in the US.



 

'Just amazing'

The audience welcomed this stance with a loud cheer. As 'Queen' dropped the video on her Instagram, her feed was flooded with surprised fans' reactions. Praising Minaj and Wayne's friendship, one user wrote, "It’s always a treat seeing you and Wayne together. 🐐 Love the genuineness of your friendship and it has stood the test of time. 🙌 Praise God!". Another fan wrote, "from being signed by the best rapper of all time, to becoming one of the best rappers of all time & preforming with the same person that discovered you. this is such a wholesome closure ❤". Feeling nostalgic, one fan wrote, "when i heard high school start playing my heart skipped a beat. it felt so nostalgic😩 i would’ve DIED to of been there in person ❤️".
