Nicki Minaj calls Prince Harry a ‘real man’ for ditching royal family for Meghan Markle
Nicki Minaj has showered praises on Prince Harry saying that he was a "real man" for leaving the royal family for his wife Meghan Markle. The rapper made this statement during her Apple Music podcast Queen Radio, and appreciated Harry for taking a "happy wife, happy life" approach in his relationship with the former actress.
Harry and Meghan announced on January 8 that they would step back as senior members of the royal family and work to become financially independent.
"Kudos to Harry because let me tell you something, and this what I love about my husband, real men always say a happy wife, a happy life. That's what real men say," Minaj said. The singer also joked that husbands putting their wives above all else is a "turn on" for her.
"It's like, put your woman first you know and make sure she's always comfortable and happy," she said. Minaj also drew on her own relationship claiming that her husband Kenneth Petty takes a similar approach to Prince Harry and always puts her first.
Minaj also talked about Harry's mother referring to her tragic death, saying "we don't need a redo of what happened with Princess Diana" and added that Harry was right to "support [Meghan] in getting the f**k out of there." Prince Harry, on February 6 , revealed that he has been in therapy for the last three years in an attempt to cope with the loss of his mother Princess Diana.
"He talked about how the events of his childhood affected him and that he has been talking to a mental health professional," a source told Page Six. "Harry also touched on Megxit, saying while it has been very difficult on him and Meghan, he does not regret their decision to step down as senior royals because he wants to protect his family. He does not want Meghan and their son Archie to go through what he did as a child."
