Nicki Minaj called 'unhinged' after she taunts Cardi B in cryptic post amid fight involving their spouses
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicki Minaj has been labeled "delusional" and "unhinged" after she shared a cryptic story taunting Cardi B.
Fans were quick to take screenshots of the 'Barbie World' singer's Instagram Stories, which they believe reflect her hypocrisy as she also claims to support Black women.
In an unexpected turn of events, Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty found himself in hot water once more. Kenneth, who was already on probation, broke the terms of his release by making explicit threats against Cardi B's husband Offset on social media.
Kenneth has been in serious legal trouble as a result of the discovery of his dangerous social media remarks. According to court papers, he has been sentenced to 120 days of house detention. The court's verdict was recently submitted, and it emphasizes the gravity of the issue.
Hours after the house arrest, his wife took to Instagram to share some cryptic stories, which many believe were directed at Cardi B. She wrote, "Can't call the cops everytime you flop. just saying," which was followed by a bunch of laughing-cry emojis.
On Reddit, social media users commented on Minhaj's Instagram Stories as one wrote, "This is disgusting and EMBARASSING. The way she weaponizes the protecting black woman lol."
Another person chimed in, "It’s so disgusting. She is no friend to women." One noted, "Yeah it's REPULSIVE. Nicki has never been good to other women, especially not Black women. She's only ever stood up for women when it's been beneficial to her personally."
Another person asked, "Protect black women? How about we start with her husband’s victim who had her name dragged through the mud and was threatened by Nicki and her stans?"
An angry fan also wrote, "All that plastic poisoned her brain bruh there’s no way she’s sane." Another person added, "40. She is 40. It’s like if your embarrassing, drama-loving Facebook aunt suddenly became famous."
Why did Kenneth Petty threaten Offset?
Nicki Minhaj's husband Kenneth Petty was sentenced to 120 days in jail for breaking the terms of his probation by uploading recordings on social media that appeared to threaten rapper Offset.
Kenneth was ordered to undergo home monitoring in a court order issued September 20 in the Central District of California after he "was recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record."
The exact person listed in the order is Offset, and the tapes are related to a series of communications Petty sent to the rapper on social media on September 16.
Kenneth and part of his crew are seen outside a New York City hotel, allegedly where Offset was staying, in a video footage that went viral on social media on September 16. Among other frightening remarks in the video, Kenneth said, "Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral, p***y!"
Offset dismissed the threats in a video posted to his social media accounts. "I'm getting off a jet, he's funny," Offset said, implying that Petty was bankrupt.
Nicki Minaj denies insulting Cardi B's parenting skills
Nicki Minhaj has denied disparaging rival rapper Cardi's parenting abilities during an alleged altercation at a New York Fashion Week party.
The singers were allegedly involved in a heated argument at the Harpers Bazaar event in 2018, following which Cardi B accused Minhaj of making negative statements about her capacity as a mother on Instagram.
On her 'Queen Radio' show, Nicki addressed the issue for the first time, saying that she would "never talk about anyone's child or parenting."
Is Kenneth Petty a registered sex offender?
Kenneth was sentenced to three years of probation in July 2022 after pleading guilty in California to failing to register as a sex offender in 2020. Kenneth was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995 and sentenced to four years in prison in New York.
Why did the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj feud start?
The true conflict, according to Nicki Minhaj, began when she and Cardi B collaborated with Migos on "MotorSport" in October 2017. Cardi said in an interview at the time that several phrases in the song were modified at the last minute before its release.
According to many reports, Cardi grew enraged with Minhaj after hearing the 'Barbie Tingz' artist criticizing her parenting skills. TMZ obtained a video of Cardi screaming and lunging toward someone thought to be Nicki. Shoes were hurled too.
