Nick Cannon open to having more children after 12th baby, says 'I lend that type of stuff to God'
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Nick Canon recently discussed how having a dozen kids "was a calling from God" and revealed that he is open to adding more children to his very modern family. The ‘Wild 'N Out’ host, 42, sat down for a conversation with Dr Laura Berman on her ‘The Language of Love’ podcast, where he talked about fathering his brood of 12 children, whom he shares with six different women.
During the interview, Berman joked that Cannon has "magic sperm" to which he replied "I lend that type of stuff to God. Those are miracles." The duo then made remarks about how his tale resembled that of Abraham in the Bible. "I've never heard that clarity, but I've heard "Yo, you're going to be a father of many. You're a great influence, your lineage, your offspring are going to do great things,”’ the entertainer added. The ‘All That’ host also disclosed that he is open to having more kids, telling Berman, "The more the merrier!"
‘Only God can let me know when I'm done’
Further in the conversation, Berman jokingly questioned 'Did God tell you to have all these babies?' to which Canon replied that he's gotten in trouble for saying that. He also reflected on the situation where people ask him if he's done having children. "Only God can let me know when I'm done,” the presenter said, adding "As much as I was open to every single child that I have, I can't say the majority of them were planned. If you would have told me in 2012 when I was still married and just diagnosed with Lupus that 10 years from now... that I would have 12 children, I would be like f**k out of here! There's no way in the world that I would ever plan that."
Cannon shares 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey and has a 6-year-old son Golden, a 2-year-old daughter Powerful Queen, and a 7-month-old son Rise Messiah Brittany Bell. In addition, he is father to 22-month-old twins Zion and Zillion and 5-month-old daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, whom he shares with Abby De La Rosa. He recently welcomed a son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi and had a daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. The latest addition to his brood was 4-month-old daughter Halo Marie, whom he welcomed with Alyssa Scott.
‘LaNisha and I have a super strong understanding’
The 'Love Don’t Cost a Thing' star’s latest comments came after he opened up about spending the most time with daughter Onyx. In an interview on ‘The Jason Lee’ podcast, the comedian expressed that he is able to spend more time with Onyx because of his strong relationship with her mother LaNisha. 'But you know, LaNisha and I have a super strong understanding and our co-parenting operation is so solid,” according to Daily Mail. Cannon said he is with his little girl, "at least three times a week, for the full day." "If you see me on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, my daughter [Onyx] is right next to me, whether I'm on set," he added.
