MIAMI, FLORIDA: There is no denying that NFL player Tom Brady has had a series of concussions due to him constantly being on field. Now, while the divorce rumors fly about the celebrity couple, Gisele Bündchen has talked about her husband suffering long-term brain damage due to the brutal sport that he chooses to continue playing. There has been trouble in paradise for a long time now. However, the reason behind their decision to divorce has not been confirmed yet but speculations point to the quarterback's decision to 'un-retire' from football.

Wife and supermodel Gisele Bündchen has always been concerned about her husband's health issues in the last few years. "He had a concussion last year. He has concussions pretty much every ... I mean, we don’t talk about it. He does have concussions. I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for a body to go through that kind of aggression all the time. That could not be healthy for you," Bündchen had told CBS in 2017. She also believes that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers player has already accomplished a lot during his time of play and will remain one of the greats.

Gisele Bündchen has wished for her husband to retire from the aggressive sport for a long time now. Tom Brady, on the other hand, has shown interest in extending his career as long as he can. According to a statement from Brady reported by ABC news, "If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night three times." The years of disagreement on the same subject might be the ultimate cause of the former couple's choice of ending things.

As per the words of a trusted source, "Tom has played in the league longer than any other non-kicker and has absorbed more hits than almost anyone else. It would be a miracle if he didn't suffer long-lasting negative effects." It appears that his former wife has all the right to be concerned since the "repeated head trauma can result in loss of brain function and lead to CTE, which brings loss of memory, speech function and vision as well as antisocial behavior and mood disorders," according to an expert on RadarOnline. "You can't play football this long without paying the price," the expert shared.

While Gisele Bündchen continues to be concerned about her husband, there is no shred of doubt that the former couple is beyond "repair," as both the model and the NFL player have hired divorce attorneys.
