NFL 2020: Matt LaCosse to Travis Benjamin, here are all the players who've opted out due to Covid-19 concerns
With the coronavirus pandemic disrupting normal life, the resumption of sports events across the world is nothing short of a miracle. And when it comes to NFL 2020, much is still up in the air with a cloud of uncertainty looming over the tournament. While there's no concrete schedule out yet, a recent startling announcement saw 66 players opting out of the season due to Covid-19 concerns. Recent reports say that the deadline to opt-out has passed.
While players considered a major risk for Covid-19 stand to earn $350,000 and an accrued NFL season, those opting to sit out without the risk earn $150,000. Post the deadline, here is the list of players who have decided to give the sport a miss:
