'New Amsterdam' Season 4: Will Floyd, Lauren and Iggy resign? Fans want Fuentes gone

'New Amsterdam' Season 4 rang some unbelievable changes in Episode 8 titled 'Paid in Full'. It saw some difficult decisions being made and that had social media seething as they lashed out at one of the latest characters, Veronica Fuentes (Michelle Forbes) for causing all the trouble at the hospital.

The episode sees Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) strike a deal with Fuentes to save Dr Floyd Reynolds (Jocko Sims), Dr Lauren Bloom (Janet Montgomery), and Dr Iggy Frome (Tyler Labine) as the trio were part of the employees being laid off for the hospital budget to stabilize. And the only way the authorities would agree to help them pay ransom for a massive ransomware attack would be if they would make the right call as far as the budget was concerned. Fuentes forces Max's hand by asking him to sign the budget so that she could get the ransom paid and get the hospital back to normalcy.

However, in the end, Max makes the difficult decision to lay off 148 people in order to keep the trio in the hospital that included Dr Agenes, Dr Baptiste and Casey.  This may lead to enough repercussions. For starters, Iggy, Lauren, and Floyd might just quit as a lot of innocent employees were fired so these doctors could continue working. It wasn't Max's fault as he took the next option to keep his friends who were absolutely great at their job. Fans took to Twitter to slam Fuentes for forcing Max to make the decision.

"Terminate Fuentes yes pls!!!! #NewAmsterdam" one of the comments said. "Can Veronica Fuentes please slither back to the fiery pits of hell and reclaim her spot at Satan's side where she belongs?" L I V I D about Casey. Unforgivable. #NewAmsterdam,"a fan remarked.

"If Fuentes messes around & gets Karen (or Todd)removed from the board during that vote I honestly wouldn’t be shocked. She moved too fast when #Sharpwin announced they were leaving. She didn’t want to listen to Max, she created this monster. #NewAmsterdam," one of the tweets read. "We lost way too many good ones tonight, I really hope that Fuentes will be out soon and the others will be back...I mean, we can't lose Casey! #NewAmsterdam" a fan lamented.
