'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 6 promo sees Dwayne Pride suspend Hannah Khoury after botched operation with FBI
'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 6 is set to premiere September 24 on CBS and will see Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), who was kidnapped along with another NCIS agent Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black), cut his vacation short. In the trailer of the show's upcoming season, we see Dwayne tell his team they have got an unidentified suspect who is in possession of a navy bomb.
He works with Hannah Khoury (Necar Zadegan) on the case and is seen asking her "Are you sure about this?" to which she responds, "I am going in." We then see Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) yell "bomb" followed by another agent who calls for the mission to be aborted.
Then, we see Dwayne and Hannah having a conversation, and the voice-over is about how she defied FBI orders. She defends herself, says she was only trying to save lives and we see Hannah trying to help two women get away from a scene.
This ends with Dwayne telling Hannah she is suspended. Why she defied the FBI orders is something that was revealed in another sneak peek released on September 10 titled 'Judgement Day'. The premiere episode's sneak peek showed two FBI officers being wheeled into an ambulance and getting treated for wounds, while two women are taken away in handcuffs.
We see Tammy approach Hannah and tell her FBI confirmed that someone got away with the bomb. For now, we can assume that the bomb in question in the same Navy bomb Dwayne was talking about earlier and it looks like the call made by Hannah to save lives helped one of the suspects hightail out with the bomb.
FBI agent Harper also feels the same and he is definitely unhappy about what transpired during the joint operation. Hannah's judgment call is what seems to have caused the chaos and Harper puts the blame for the escaped suspect on her.
Tammy comes to Hannah's defense and explains that unlike the six other dead suspects, the two women Hannah saved, believed to be allies of the suspects, can now be questioned. This, however, doesn't help the matter at hand, and Hannah definitely knows she is in trouble.
The case may also slip out of the team's hands and completely into the FBI's authority and there is no one to blame but Hannah and in light of this recent sneak peek, her suspension we saw in the trailer makes sense.
Now the question is, how will Dwayne and the other team members handle Hannah's suspension. We will see it all unravel Tuesday when the first episode of the show airs at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
