Detroit Pistons' star player Blake Griffin recently purchased a mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles, for a whopping $5.9 million. The lavish 5,893 square foot home was built in 1936 and comes with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Griffin got lucky with this property as the two-story house was initially listed in May for $6.698 million with Jordana Leigh of Rodeo Realty. It was then on the market for a reduced price of $5.995 million and finally brought by the basketball star, listing records show. The gorgeous house is built in the traditional/quasi-colonial style and includes a formal living and dining rooms, a media room, a kitchen, and a family room with a fireplace and large windows, according to the listing. For entertainment facilities, the house comes equipped with a pool with spa, a gym, a billiards room and a wine cellar.

There's more luxury than you can dream of, as the home's distinctly 2000s-era kitchen includes multi-colored granite countertops and top-of-the-line Viking, SubZero, and Bosch appliances, while the adjoining family room boasts a fireplace, bar area, and sliding door access to the back patio for a true indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Not to mention an upstairs bedroom which boasts of not one but three walk-in closets/dressing rooms. Sprawled over 0.53-acre parklike grounds and hidden behind tall hedges, the property has a wrap-around terrace with covered seating and a fireplace and a guest suite with its own patio, according to the listing.

Griffin really knows how to pick his properties, considering he bought a stately $19.1 million all-new mansion in a gated-community in the same area in April which he bought back in April 2020. His current residence is built in modern farmhouse style and encompasses 10,000 square feet of living space. It also comes with a two-story detached guesthouse and a backyard pool with spa.

What is Blake Griffin's net worth?

Griffin was born in Oklahoma, to Tommy and Gail Griffin on March 16, 1989. A love for basketball runs in the family, seeing that Griffin's father, Tommy, was a basketball center and a track standout at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Griffin and his brother Taylor, were both coached by their father, who was the head coach at Oklahoma Christian School. Griffin and Taylor went on to play two high school seasons and also went on to win two state basketball championships.  Before basketball, Griffin also played baseball and football as a wide receiver, safety and tight end.

Having started his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, he now plays for the Detroit Pistons. Griffin signed a five-year, $171 million contract in 2017 with the Los Angeles Clippers. It included an annual salary of more than $34 million. He was also to earn over $31 million as a base salary. After joining the Pistons, his base salary was equated with being over $31 million and an annual salary of about $32 million. He also co-owns a production company with the NFL's Matt Kalil. Multiple projects are in the works, including a "White Men Can't Jump" reboot.

He has made the NBA All-Star Team six times over the course of his career. His current net worth is $110 million. Apart from his NBA salary, Griffin is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, seeing that he has sponsorship deals with Kia, Subway, AT&T, Vizio, Nike, Panini and Red Bull. His endorsements alone earn him somewhere between $6 to $10 million.

The 31-year-old basketball star has made a sizeable real estate portfolio for himself at such a young age. According to Dirt, the NBA star owns no less than five multimillion-dollar homes in Los Angeles; besides his $25 million Brentwood compound, there’s also his $9 million “starter” mansion in Pacific Palisades, a $4 million Manhattan Beach home and a $2.3 million property in Studio City occupied by his brother, former basketball player Taylor Griffin.
