Naya Rivera laid to rest at Hollywood Hills cemetery, the final resting place of Carrie Fisher and Paul Walker

'Glee' star Naya Rivera was laid to rest almost two weeks after her body had been recovered from Lake Piru on Monday, July 13, after a drowning accident that had taken place on Wednesday, July 8. Rivera's death certificate that was obtained by The Blast states that she was buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park located in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles on Friday, July 24. The certificate states that her cause of death was confirmed as "drowning" and that she died in a matter of "minutes". The document also reveals that Rivera had "no other significant conditions that contributed to her death."
This is an important revelation as there are many conspiracy theories surrounding her death. The cemetery is also the final resting place of other famous people like Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher and Paul Walker. The document further confirmed the location of Rivera's death as Lake Piru and says that she had spent "32 years" of her life in the entertainment industry and died at the young age of 33.

Rivera had gone boating and swimming along with her young son, Josey, to Lake Piru, around 56 miles away from Los Angeles, where she disappeared. We had earlier reported that her autopsy stated, "The circumstances and visual characteristics all indicated that the body was that of Naya Rivera and the identity has been confirmed by dental comparison." "The autopsy findings are consistent with a drowning and the condition of the body is consistent with the time that she was submerged. No traumatic injuries or disease processes were identified at autopsy," the report, released by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office, revealed. The report continued, "There is no indication from the investigation or examination that drugs or alcohol played a role in the decedent's death, but specimens will be submitted for toxicology testing."
According to the sheriff’s department, Rivera had rented the boat around 1 pm. Three hours later, a boater found the child by himself on the boat. Josey, 4, told the authorities that his mother had gone swimming but did not climb back onto the boat. It has also been reported that it is likely that Rivera had sacrificed her life to help her son get back in the pontoon boat they rented, Sheriff Bill Ayub revealed.

"Josey was found asleep and alone on the boat later in the afternoon. He had on a life jacket. No life jacket was found on Rivera's body, and an adult-sized jacket was on the boat," he said, adding that Rivera was "found in a northeastern portion of the lake, near the surface of the water. The depth of the water in that area is between 35 and 60 feet deep and there's heavy brush and trees on the lake bed there".
Rivera's last social media post shows her spending time with her son. She had also shared a closeup photo of herself kissing her son. Rivera had captioned the image, "Just the two of us." Another one of her recent posts that featured her in a white shirt was captioned, "No matter the year, circumstance, or strifes every day you're alive is a blessing. make the most of today and every day you are given. Tomorrow is not promised."
