'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' became a classic of its time for its impressive cast, plotline, and the Christmas spirit that it brought with it.

At the dawn of the festive season and 30 years after the movie was first released, AMC Network decided to bring the film back to the theaters and also showcased it on their cable channel.

AMC Theaters will be showing the movie from  Friday, December 6 through Thursday, December 12, and the film would be shown on the same days on the cable networks.

Many fans rushed to watch the film in the teathes while some decided to watch it at home.

Those who watched it on the TV took to social media to express their disappointment over how many of the dialogues in the movie were censored for the broadcast.

People said they were unable to enjoy the movie in the same way as they were able to 30 years ago as many of the censored dialogues made it an impossible watch.

"AMC how dare you play the CENSORED version of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," wrote one fan slamming the network. "It's just not the same without 'We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye.'"

Another wrote, "Can we make a new rule: If you want to air National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, then you can't censor the line 'HALLELUJAH, HOLY SHIT!'"

Some even developed a grudge against the network as one fan commented: "Not sure if I can ever forgive @AMC_TV for censoring THE line in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

There were, however, a few people who enjoyed watching the movie in a theatre after 30 years, as one comment read, "Saw 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' in the theater tonight. It came out 30 years ago this month. I was 15 when I saw it then and was able to take my 13-year-old to enjoy it tonight since it's basically a home movie for our family."
