Nathan Millard: Cause of death for missing Georgia man found wrapped in carpet finally revealed
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: 42-year-old Nathan Millard's cause of death has been finally released by The East Baton Rouge coroner after the missing Georgia man was found in an abandoned Louisiana lot wrapped in a carpet on March 6. According to the toxicology report, the father of five died from an accidental overdose. Millard's death was caused by a combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol.
The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with the Millard case. Police arrested Derrick Perkins, 45, for disposing of the businessman's body. Tiffany Ann Guidry, 26, was arrested on March 24, for unlawful disposal of remains and police are looking for Tabbetha Barner, 33, for prostitution and failure to seek assistance in Millard's death.

Millard was on a business trip in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was last spotted drinking with a client at Happy's Irish Pub before being kicked out for being too intoxicated on February 22. Millard and his client parted ways and that's when the 42-year-old's ill-fated journey began. He was caught on camera wandering around the Baton Rouge streets with a mysterious man later identified as Perkins, known as "Stanka" on the streets, while he was looking for "something to make him feel better."
Perkins arranged for Millard to meet with prostitutes Guidry and Barner. The four then went to a home on Lorri Burgess Avenue. According to Perkins, he waited outside while the others used syringes and had sex. "They were all up in there doing that s***. I don't f*** with that s***," Perkins told cops.
Nathan Millard suspected of having blue magic drug
Baton Rouge police previously suspected Millard died of an overdose on a form of heroin called "blue magic." The popular '70s and '80s drug is considered to be one of the purest forms of heroin and when mixed with a chemical, it turns into a shade of blue. “It was blue magic, but it had some form of fentanyl in it," said police spokesperson Sgt L'Jean McKneely, about Millard's overdose.
He added, "So, we believe the fentanyl was administered or the partaking in the drug activity. There is some mention of possibly giving some Narcan.” After Millard collapsed from an accidental overdose, Barner swiftly informed Perkins that the 42-year-old had died. Millard could not be revived despite a drug to reverse an overdose, known as Narcan, as well as CPR. The three did not call the police but instead, Perkins wrapped Millard's body in a carpet and drove it around for 3 days in his stolen 2004 blue Toyota Camry, "until the odor got too bad." Perkins was initially arrested on charges of damage to property, three counts of access device fraud, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Meanwhile, Millard's client raised an alarm the next day, after their alleged drinking night, when the businessman failed to show up for a meeting. Police were informed about Millard after an unknown man discovered his body at the 2900 block of Scenic Highway, roughly three miles from the bar he was last seen at.
