Natalie Portman and Ben Millepied strive to save their marriage after his affair with climate activist Camille Etienne
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied are reportedly fighting for their marriage after she found out about the ballet dancer's alleged affair with a 25-year-old woman. The couple got married in 2012 and separated in 2022 but they tried to work through their issues.
New photographs of the former New York City Ballet principal dancer and the young climate activist spending time together in France have emerged and have fueled the rumors of him cheating on the 'A Tale of Love and Darkness' actress, reported Page Six.
Who is Camille Etienne?
Etienne, a climate activist from France is the writer of the book 'For and Ecological Uprising: Overcoming Our Collective Powerlessness' and has created several short films on the environment. A close friend of Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, Etienne is one of French Vanity Fair's '50 French women who made 2020.'
A recent report in the French magazine Voici claimed Millepied had been spending time with the 25-year-old woman and alleged, "In early March, the star of the ‘Star Wars’ saga discovered that her husband was having an affair with a young woman." The publication also shared images of them going into his office and separately exiting two hours later on May 24.

'Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him'
An insider talked to the outlet about the couple fighting to save their marriage. "They have not split and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family."
"She is incredibly private. Her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids," the source said. The pair's relationship problems were known to others on the November 2022 set of her upcoming movie 'May December' filmed over the course of 23 days, according to Page Six.
However, Portman and Millepied were spotted together in Paris on May 26 after the film fest at a Beyoncé concert in Paris. On May 29, the couple was snapped kissing while having dinner in the French city.
Millepied met Portman on the set of 'Black Swan'
On the set of 'Black Swan' shot in 2009, Portman and Millepied met as the latter did the choreography for the Oscar-winning ballet film. The following year they got engaged and in 2012, they married in Big Sur, California.
"To my beautiful love, Benjamin Millepied, who choreographed the film and has now given me the most important role of my life," Portman said as she was pregnant with their first child in 2011 while she accepted her Best Actress award. The pair shares a six-year-old daughter, Amalia, and Aleph, 12.
