NEW YORK CITY: In a Manhattan courtroom, Robert De Niro, who is currently embroiled in a contentious lawsuit brought against him by his former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, couldn't stop himself from shouting as he took to stand on Tuesday, October 31, as per Daily Mail.

Robinson, who had previously worked for De Niro's company, Canal Productions, has leveled accusations of gender discrimination against the actor, leading to his company initially a legal battle by suing the former personal assistant, alleging that she misappropriated the company's funds.

The four-year legal feud between them reached a boiling point as the trial commenced on Monday.

As the trial entered its second day, Robert De Niro took the stand and appeared flustered and irritated while defending himself against Graham Chase Robinson's allegations. She claims that she endured years of abusive language, unwanted physical advances, and misogyny during her tenure with Canal Productions.

In a shocking moment during the courtroom proceedings, De Niro confronted his accuser with a vehement outburst, declaring, "Shame on you, Chase Robinson! God da**it! I'm sorry." The courtroom stood stunned by his emotional outburst.

Graham Chase Robinson's lawsuit paints a disturbing picture of her time at Canal Productions

Graham Chase Robinson's lawsuit alleges that Robert De Niro treated her like an "office wife," assigning her menial tasks such as washing his sheets and even scratching his back. Furthermore, the former personal assistant claims that she was paid less than a male colleague who held similar responsibilities.

In pursuit of justice, Robinson is seeking a substantial $12 million in damages for the severe emotional distress and reputational harm she endured during her employment with the company.

It's important to note that her lawsuit emerged shortly after Canal Productions initiated legal action against her in August 2019. The company accused her of improper spending, including transferring over $450,000 worth of airline miles from the company's account to her personal one.

She was also alleged to have spent tens of thousands on personal items, food, travel, and days filled with Netflix binge-watching.
