'Mystic Pop-up Bar' Episode 3 sees Weol-ju (Hwang Jung-eum) get Kang-bae (Yook Sung-jae) to advertise the services that they provide at the bar. She tells him to share his expertise with people who visit the mart that he works at in the morning and tells him to hand visiting cards to increase the number of people who would be visiting their bar. This, she feels, would help her increase the chances of helping the 9 people within the next month and avoid being sent to the underbelly of hell by the God of Underworld.

Initially, Kang-bae is hesitant. After all, people dish out all their real feelings with just one touch from him. That is a lot of emotional baggage to carry around, but if he hopes to change his life at all in the future he has to put up with this discomfort momentarily. He seems to have come to that conclusion as well as we see him hand out visiting cards to Mystic Pop bar in the promo.

Then we also meet the next guest that the bar owners aim to help. He seems to be an employee of a rich Chaebol man. His identity is something that hasn't been introduced as of now, but what is clear is that the Chaebol CEO has done something unpardonable to this man. Right after hearing his story (which is not featured in the promo), we hear Weol-ju say that the death of this man has to be in her hands. She seems deeply moved by this man's troubles. Could it be possible that he was betrayed just as she was 500 years ago? Or is it just a sign of sympathy? Either way, Weol-ju seems to be more expressive about her thoughts now than she was before.

Check out the promo here.

Then we meet the culprit in question and he seems an embodiment of everything that Weol-ju has heard of. He looks at employees as he would look at slaves and treats them so as well. So Weol-ju decides to use herself to trap him and we will see how she uses seduction as a part of her plan. Will it work? Especially since it seems as if his guard, a young woman, might be someone that Kang-bae wants to befriend. That is despite being kicked and facing the woman at gunpoint.

While we know who is being helped, what would make the episode more interesting is why. This in combination with the obstacles that Weol-ju and Kang-bae experience will make the episode hilarious.

'Mystic Pop-up Bar' new episodes can be streamed on Netflix on Wednesday and Thursday. The show originally aired on JTBC.
