Season 9 of 'My Big Fat fabulous Life' had many surprises in store for us. From Whitney Thore moving back to her home in Greensboro, North Carolina to her new mystery French boyfriend. While fans were glad about Whitney moving back to her home, they however had several questions about her love life.

Following her very public split from Chase Severino after he cheated on her, the reality star was beyond heartbroken. But it looks like she has finally moved on and found herself a brand-new boyfriend. Whitney was very careful to not to reveal his name nor picture, in order to protect his privacy. She however revealed that she met him on a language learning application, where he was her French tutor. Luckily, language doesn't seem to be a barrier for the couple as he speaks very fluent English. She also revealed that he is a graphic designer, and couldn't stop gushing over him.

When Whitney's friends heard about her new romance, they were a bit hesitant about it. Her friends openly wondered what if she was being catfished, or someone was trying to take advantage of her. Just like her friends even fans seem to have a lot of questions about the mystery French boyfriend. Although we didn't get to see the mystery man, we got to hear his voice on the show. After hearing his voice and accent, many fans were convinced that he isn't French. A fan tweeted, "#MyBigFatFabLife This supposed "French" guy is about as "French" as French Fries!." Another fan wrote, "This dude is for sure not French... #MyBigFatFabLife." "This “French” dude’s accent sounds as “French” as Williams’ sounded “British” #MyBigFatFabLife #90dayfiance," pointed out a fan.

Some fans even began questioning if the mystery man is really her boyfriend or somebody was hired to pretend to be her boyfriend for a storyline. A fan commented, "Real reason we can’t see the French Man’s Face is because that’s how the script is written. #MyBigFatFabLife." "Is anyone else not buying this 'French Man' storyline? #MyBigFatFabLife," wondered a fan. "Another fake storyline..unless I see him I won’t believe it #MyBigFatFabLife," declared a fan.
