Video shows muggers knocking Bronx man out with brick, ripping his pants to rob him

The surveillance video showed how the muggers smashed a man's head with brick before they kicked the victim and ripped open his clothes to rob him

BRONX, NEW YORK: On Saturday afternoon, on December 4, police told the New York Post that violent muggers were caught bashing the head of a man with a brick and robbing him in a building's surveillance video. The incident occurred in a building located on East 165th Street near Tinton Avenue in the Bronx.

One of the muggers knocked the 53-year-old victim unconscious with one blow to the head with a brick. In the video, the man was riding his bicycle towards the elevator when the man attacks him from behind. Once he was knocked down, another man joins in to kick the victim in the face before they robbed him.

As one bystander stood beside the elevators and looked on, the two men rifled through the victim's pockets and even began tearing his pockets and lifted his body off the ground until the leg of his pant was ripped off from in places. Even though the attack happened in broad daylight, no one came forward to help him. As per the police report, the pair of crooks ran off after taking the victim's cellphone and wallet. They went out of the building and entered another building nearby. 

The victim who had many injuries was taken to Lincoln Medical Center and is now in a stable condition. The police are also searching for the suspects. Their faces were caught in the video and they are assumed to be in their 20s, the cops have reported. 

One of the suspects was wearing a black sweater with black pants and white sneakers. The other suspect was wearing a black and white sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. 

After the video went viral, Twitter users started reacting to the crime footage and had a lot to say. One of the users said, "But DeBlasio is more worried about locking down his city & forcing medical procedures on his citizens, not crime!" Another user said, "NYC HELL-HOLE IN JOE BIDENS' AMERICA." One of the users wrote, "At least @AOCknows this did not happen. And, EVEN if it did, it’s because of white supremacy." One more user wrote, "PERFECT REASON TO HAVE CONCEAL AND CARRY!!! THIS WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY!"

It seems that crime has been increasing in New York City of late and people are noticing. In one tweet about the rising violence in blue states, one user sarcastically opposed Stacey Abrams running for Governor in Georgia, predicting a surge in crime if she was elected: "You all need to see what California. And New York City has been suffering with the violence. So to the people she’ll be governing. You better lock your grandma‘s pearls away because crime is on it’s way to your State."
