After years of trying to surpass PewDiePie to claim the top spot on YouTube, MrBeast finally got a chance to meet his decade-long rival and fellow video maker in person. In fact, MrBeast shared a photo of the two of them together. He captioned the photo with, "I finally met 'PewDiePie'."

Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, has reportedly traveled all the way to Japan to meet PewDiePie, who moved there from the UK last year. Although it's unclear what these two are doing, their supporters are eager to find out.

Will they collaborate?

The two content creators haven't spoken about what they might be up to in Japan. It's also unknown if any members of MrBeast's crew traveled with him. This could end up being much more laid-back than the typical MrBeast video if Chris Tyson and the others hadn't joined up.

While some fans thought it was fate that they finally got together, others couldn't believe it had taken this long. After all, MrBeast repeatedly repeated the name of another YouTuber in one of his popular videos. Some fans have expressed their excitement for the meet-up; one fan even shared AI-created fan art of the two.

The YouTube Titans finally meet

Saying that this meet-up has been long overdue would be an understatement. Fans questioned whether PewDiePie would challenge MrBeast for the throne when it appeared that he would finally surpass PewDiePie's subscriber count, as he had previously done when fellow YouTube channels Cocomelon and T-Series moved in on the top spot. PewDiePie, on the other hand, praised MrBeast and reminded supporters that he's no longer actively pursuing subscribers and view counts on YouTube.

Moreover, PewDiePie might only be intending to show MrBeast about Japan while he's there, which is perfectly possible. Since 2022, PewDiePie and his wife Marzia have called that location home, achieving a lifelong desire of theirs to settle in a rural area. Since then, PewDiePie has frequently kept his followers informed about their new lives in Japan, where they hope to start a family.
