Country singers Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker have called it quits after dating for almost eight months. Rumors of began to flare up in May about the two seeing each other when Felker's band Turnpike Troubadours were set to open for Lambert on her tour. Apparently, the two have been dating since February at the time when Felker was still legally married to his wife. At the same time that they got together, Lambert too was apparently dating Anderson East following her break up with ex-husband, Blake Shelton.
In a recent interview with Tennessean, the 34-year-old singer got candid about her split with her previous husband Blake Sheldon, and how she has been coping with her recent break up with Felker.
She said, "Love is a hard road sometimes and it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it. You’ve got to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts.” However, if it is because of the break-up or not, the Turnpike Troubadours have confirmed that they will no more be performing at the 'Bandwagon Tour,' opening for Little Big Town and Lambert.
According to the publicist of the band, "They are no longer playing those dates due to some serious family emergencies. The band needs to be close to home.” However, there were several people including Blake himself who welcomed the couple wholeheartedly when they initially got together. Following Felker's divorce with his wife Staci, a fan had posted videos which in a way highlighted Staci's perspective in the relationship.
She told E!News, "I was impressed someone could make me laugh so hard at my own misfortune. We met for the first time after work on Thursday and I found her support of me to be endearing. It has been overwhelming how much love and encouragement I've received from people who have never met me. It has also been overwhelming to realize that I am no longer an anonymous person in my small city."
Staci and Felker's divorce came only a few weeks after Felker reportedly started seeing Lambert. According to a source who had spoken to People, the two had connected over text messages, "They had never met and she had started texting him about looking forward to playing together and getting to know each other and maybe they could write because she really liked his writing sort of thing,” the source said. “It started very much about work. He was completely thrilled. By the time he was leaving for tour, it had become a lot flirtier.”
In a rare interview with HITS Daily Double, Lambert said, " I am who I am. I am honest about being flawed. That’s all I can be, you know? I cuss. I drink. I get divorced and get my heart broken. I break hearts.”
