LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus celebrated her 31st birthday with a special treat for herself, surrounded by friends and family.
The Grammy-nominated artist, who turned 31 on Thursday, November 23, marked the occasion on Tuesday, November 21, with an intimate pre-Thanksgiving performance at the renowned Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, as reported by People.

Miley Cyrus went on Instagram to share with her 215 million followers the birthday gift she gave herself this year, describing it as something that was "very on brand."
"I performed for myself and sang my favorite songs, including my own," wrote the 'Wrecking Ball' singer alongside an image carousel and compilation of clips from the night of her celebration.

"First 'live' performance of 'Flowers' was to an audience full of my friends and family," she added.
"Taking this song back to the seed… she sprouted sensationally," she added. "Grateful for the growth in us both. 🌹💋❤️ With Love, Miley," Cyrus concluded the post.

Dressed in an all-black ensemble featuring a strapless black dress, gloves, and a slicked-back bun, Cyrus captivated the audience with a rendition of her hit 'Flowers' in front of a piano.
During her performance, the songwriter was seen encouraging the audience to sing along with her and incorporated improvised ad-libs throughout the show.
"I didn't want to leave (but I had to), I didn't want to fight (but we did), started to cry but then remembered I (I'm in Dolce!)," sang Cyrus.

Cyrus even performed 'Faithfully' by Journey, culminating in a massive group singalong that left her audience enthralled.
A surprising collaboration during the intimate performance featured pop musician Ryan Beatty.
The 31-year-old singer also kept her audience on the edge of their seats as she performed some seemingly unreleased material.

During the Chateau Marmont performance, Cyrus dedicated lyrics, seemingly to her 25-year-old boyfriend Maxx Morando.
With lines like, "Don’t know if it’s ever gonna stop / I wouldn’t mind if it don’t / Don’t leave me high, Don’t let me down, Cause I want you more," Cyrus looked straight at the front row of the audience near Morando.
Miley Cyrus's latest gig with Dolly Parton
The 'Hannah Montana' star recently collaborated with her godmother Dolly Parton, on a new version of her hit track 'Wrecking Ball' which was released in 2013.
