Liam Hemsworth, who is still recovering after being hospitalized for kidney stones, was unable to attend the premiere of his upcoming movie 'Isn't It Romantic'. However, his wife Miley Cyrus stepped in for him and attended the Los Angeles premiere on Monday.

The actor could not attend the Grammy Awards and missed Miley's performance at the ceremony after being hospitalized over the weekend. Hemsworth is reportedly home and still recovering from his kidney stones, as per People.

A source close to the actor told the publication that, although Hemsworth “was briefly hospitalized,” he is now “at home resting and will be fine.” Meanwhile, in his absence, Cyrus showed up to the movie premiere on Monday wearing a dramatic, sheer, red Maison Valentino dress and a matching lip color, with a high ponytail.

After the singer was done walking the crowds solo, she explained her husband's absence through a post on her social media account. She revealed that Hemsworth had skipped the premiere because it was “crucial” that he focused on his health right now.

“So proud of my hunky hubby @liamhemsworth & his newest movie #IsntItRomantic ❤️” she wrote. “He, unfortunately, wasn’t able to attend due to health reasons… but he is recovering and taking this time to rest/heal.”

“It’s hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial. I am proud to represent him and his incredible work,” she added. “So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day…. luckiest 💋”

In another Instagram post from the same day, Cyrus could be seen posing in front of a photo of Hemsworth playing saxophone. The newlywed decided to leave a flirty message for her recovering husband in the caption. “Getting sick blows. But so do I. Get well soon babe. I love you,” she wrote. “Play that sax you sexy f—. ❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️.”

The 'Can't Be Tamed' singer also joked that while she was there to support husband Hemsworth, she “also did it for @maisonvalentino.”
