Miley Cyrus to have two new stepparents as her mother Tish gets engaged to Dominic Purcell
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus will soon have two new stepparents since her mother Tish Cyrus is engaged to 'Prison Break' actor Dominic Purcell, eight months after her father, Billy Ray, proposed to singer Firerose. Tish, 55, announced her engagement on Saturday by sharing two photos of her and her new sparkler on Instagram.
"A thousand times.... YES @dominicpurcell," the bride-to-be wrote with a snapshot of the couple kissing in Malibu, California. In the image, Purcell, 53, pulled her tight from behind and shared a picture of the square-cut rock on her ring finger. Tish and her new man made their romance public after she divorced the 61-year-old singer of 'Achy Breaky Heart' in July last year.

Billy Ray and Tish married in 1993 and separated twice before finalizing their divorce in 2022, citing their inability to get along. She stated that they had not "cohabited as man and wife for a continuous period of more than two years" in the court documents, as reported by DailyMail.
Back and forth on divorce
Billy Ray filed for divorce in October 2010 but withdrew the petition in March 2011. In June 2013, Tish submitted her own divorce paperwork. One month later, after going to couples therapy, the couple got back together. They raised five children. They also have Brandi, 35, Trace, 33, Braison, 28, and Noah, 23, in addition to Miley, the megastar, who is 30, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
The blonde beauty and her new love originally fueled romance rumors after she left a string of heart emojis on his Instagram, writing, "Hi Babe," in response to one of his pictures. Tish "really feels like she found her soulmate" in Purcell, a source told US Weekly in February. Purcell was previously wed to Rebecca Williamson from 1998 until their divorce in 2008.
Tish wanted it 'under wraps'
The source continued, "Tish wanted to keep their romance under wraps for a little while until she was sure he was The One. However, that didn't take long, and they've been inseparable since. She absolutely sees a future with him and feels so blessed that they found each other."
