Miley Cyrus gives boyfriend Cody Simpson a serious makeover to 'end toxic masculinity' amid lockdown
Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are spending their quarantine revamping because which woman wouldn't like to give her boyfriend a quarantine haircut?
The 23-year-old Australian singer shared video footage on his Instagram of Miley primping up her boyfriend with make-up and applying pink lipstick on his lips along with mascara to his eyelashes.
It appears that the couple is working with photographer Mert Alas on a new project and their quarantine makeover is a part of a photo art project the fashion photographer.
Cody posted a makeup-free selfie captioned "before" followed by a black and white image of Miley applying makeup to him. He later added a video of the 'Hannah Montana' actress applying mascara to his eyes.
Miley shared pictures of Cody's new avatar and captioned it, "end toxic masculinity". Mert Alas, who is best known for working with partner Marcus Piggot, shared a short video of the couple together where Cody is sporting a face full of makeup and Miley is in sexy black lingerie as they posed in provocative positions.
"Quarantine vibes coming soon," he added.
Miley and Cody's romance is still quite fresh. After being close friends for years, the couple started dating after she started the divorce process with her then-husband Liam Hemsworth.
They have been self-isolating together in Los Angeles. To express their gratitude to frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic, they delivered 120 tacos to their local hospital workers.
Once upon a time, Miley was Cody's celebrity crush. "Miley Cyrus has always been my childhood celebrity crush. I knew all the words to her songs. I'm not going to lie. I'm not ashamed about it at all," he had said during an interview.
Their relationship was confirmed in October 2019 after a video of the two musicians kissing was published. Soon afterward, Miley confirmed the relationship on her Instagram.
At that time, Miley had received a lot of flak for moving on so quickly from her ex-husband Hemsworth and then Kaitlynn Carter.
"I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning," she had defended herself on Twitter, adding, "But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality."
