Miley Cyrus is 'hurting' after split from Liam Hemsworth and her Cody Simpson affair is just a rebound, say friends
Miley Cyrus' inner circle is apparently worried about her steamy PDA session with Cody Simpson.
The make-out session came just days after her split with Kaitlynn Carter and a few months after her separation from her husband Liam Hemsworth.
Now, a source close to the singer-songwriter has said that some members of her "inner circle" are worried by her erratic behavior.
“Miley Cyrus’ inner circle are always concerned whenever they see her post seductively on social media and making out in public in the way in which she has this week, because they know she’s hurting,” the source toldHollywoodLife.
“But who wouldn’t be after a rough breakup with the love of your life? They all know when she acts like that, it’s because something else is going on and they just want her to slow down and think about things a bit more. This breakup with Liam is making Miley truly figure out who she is and what she wants and everyone knows she’s going through it and this is just what Miley does.”
Miley shocked the world in August after confirming she had split with Hemsworth, 29, after less than a year together.
The Aussie hunk and the former 'Hannah Montana' star had been an on-and-off couple for over a decade after first meeting in 2009 on the sets of 'The Last Song'.
Soon after their divorce, Miley jumped into a fling with 31-year-old friend Kaitlynn Carter. At the time, Carter had just split with 36-year-old reality TV star Brody Jenner.
However, their romance died just over a month later in September.
“Kaitlynn was just a fun distraction for her,” the source said. “They’re still very close and always will be, but it’s clear she’s trying to figure her life out right now. Everyone just wants the best for her.”
Miley has since asserted she's a "grown" woman who does not want to be unnecessarily judged for her relationships.
A day after a fan filmed her kissing Cody in a West Hollywood restaurant, she took to Twitter with a message.
“I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘mans’ [sic] world…” she tweeted in part after a fan filmed her kissing Cody in a West Hollywood restaurant. “If we can’t beat em, join em [sic]! If our president can ‘grab em by the pu**y…’ can’t I just have a kiss and acai bowl?!?!”
