Miley Cyrus's mother calls her "disgusting," "bratty millennial" for posting photos on Instagram instead of enjoying sunset during family vacation
Singer Miley Cyrus revealed in her Instagram story on Thursday that her mother, Tish, called her a "disgusting" and a "bratty millennial" during a recent family vacation. Amid an ongoing divorce with estranged husband, Liam Hemsworth, and a breakup from her short-term girlfriend Caitlynn Carter, Miley is currently on vacation in Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, with her mother and sister, Brandi.
Posting a photo of herself sitting at a restaurant booth, engrossed in her phone, Miley wrote, "My mom just called me ‘disgusting'. There was a gorgeous sunset and I was inside on my phone ‘serving content'.”
On Wednesday, the 'Slide Away' singer posted a string of photos from her vacations, including ones where she poses at the canyon dressed in a black sports bra and denim shorts and rode down to Lake Powell on a canoe with her pet dog. Although many of her well-wishers thought she looked "too skinny" in the snaps and urged her to stop using drugs, Miley did not appear bothered as she continued to post pictures.
“It’s hard to get in trouble once you’re an adult but she said I looked like a ‘bratty millennial', which I do, but is it bad if I like the pic and wanna post? Is that worst?” she added in her Instagram story post on Thursday.
Back in 2010, Miley confessed to Hello! magazine that she can be “the biggest brat of all history” where her family was concerned. “When I go home I fight with my parents. Overall we’re a close family. My mum and I finish each other’s sentences," she added, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Just last week on Saturday, September 21, Miley delivered a high-energy performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, where her family members showed up to support her.
Despite her personal life going through a rough patch right now, the singer's career has never looked better with her recent 'Don't Call Me Angel' for the movie 'Charlie's Angels' topping the Global YouTube Music Videos Chart on its release week.
