Mickey Rourke took a jab at Robert De Niro while threatening to “embarrass” the 76-year-old actor. The actors have been involved in a feud for decades after they starred together in neo-noir drama ‘Angel Heart’ in 1987. Rourke had accused De Niro of poor behavior on the sets of that movie.

On the weekend, the 67-year-old actor took to Instagram to slam De Niro as he posted a picture of him smoking a cigarette decades ago with a message that read: “Hey Robert De Niro, that’s right i am talking to you, you big f---ing crybaby. A friend of mine just recently told me that a few months back you’re quoted as saying to newspapers “Mickey Rourke’s a liar he talks all kind of shit”. Listen Mr.Tough Guy in the movies, you’re the 1st person that ever called me a liar and it was in a newspaper. Let me tell you something, you punk ass, when i see you i swear to God on my Grandmother, on my brother and all my dogs, i gonna embarrass you severely 100%. Mickey Rourke “as God is my witness”,” Rourke added.

The Instagram slamming was the latest in the feud going on between the two actors. Last year, Rourke also accused De Niro of blocking him from joining the cast of ‘The Irishman’. "Marty Scorsese wanted to meet me for a movie with Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Robert De Niro. The casting person told my manager that Robert De Niro said he refused to work with me in a movie,” the ‘Sin City’ star told Italian TV show Live – Non è la D’Urso.

At the time Rourke also said that he’s “upset” because he “needed the money”. He added that he “looked up” to De Niro like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino back in the 1980s. But his views about the actor changed after the ‘Taxi Driver’ star allegedly told him on the ‘Angel Heart’ set, “I think it’s better if we don’t talk.” “Now I don’t look up to him no more; I look through him. I came up from the s**t. He doesn’t know that life. I lived that f**king life, so every time I look him in the face I look right through his a**hole,” Rourke explained as reported by The Independent.

However, this is not the first time De Niro’s name has popped up in a controversy. An earlier report stated that a bombshell new lawsuit claimed De Niro routinely subjected a female employee to creepy and abusive behavior. The suit also claimed that the actor often left threatening voicemails saying "you're f—ing history” and repeatedly called her a "bitch" and a "brat."

The allegations were made by Graham Chase Robinson who used to work at the legendary actor’s production company Canal Productions Inc. The woman was allegedly the victim of “gratuitous unwanted physical contact” by De Niro, who she accused of frequently hurling "sexually-charged comments at her”.

“Robert De Niro is someone who has clung to old mores. He does not accept the idea that men should treat women as equals. He does not care that gender discrimination in the workplace violates the law. Ms. Robinson is a casualty of this attitude,” the suit stated.
