Philip Andre "Mickey" Rourke Jr, more famous as Mickey Rourke, has nothing good to say about Amber Heard. Heard recently lost a defamation case against her former husband Johnny Depp. Calling her a “gold digger”, the 69-year-old actor also compared himself with Depp, saying he had been accused of things he didn't do as well.

During an appearance on Piers Morgan's ‘TalkTV’ show, Rourke said, “Well, you know, I know Johnny for many years, but I don't really know him intimately. All I could say is I was in a situation one time where I got blamed for something that I didn’t do. It cost me movie jobs for several years and it caused a bad reputation.”

He went on to say: “And finally, the truth came out but the truth came out after I lost movies and I lost jobs and and so I felt bad for somebody that is trying to get chopped down by some gold digger, you know,” before being interrupted by Morgan, who asked him: “You think that's what she was?” To which, ‘The Wrestler’ star asserted, “Abso- f***ing-lutely. Absolutely.”

In June, a Virginia court ruled in favor of Depp after he sued Heard for writing an op-ed in 2018, calling herself a domestic abuse survivor. The ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ star was given $10.35 million in damages while the 36-year-old actress only got $2 million. After the verdict, Depp could not control his happiness and shared a statement that read, “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me, were forever changed. All in the blink of an eye.”

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career. And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled,” he added.

Not just that, on June 7, the 59-year-old star took to Instagram and posted a video expressing his gratitude towards his fans as he wrote: “To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD.”

However, in a different libel case in the UK, the court had found Depp guilty of assaulting Heard 12 times. He was also called “a monster” and at that time too, Rourke had taken his side and apparently said, “He's a very low key guy, he's always been really low key and a gentleman and not violent.”

Meanwhile, Rourke’s recent statement has received mixed response online with a user slamming him, “Johnny Depp is a proven wife beater in the UK. And who’s Mickey Rourke?” Another tweet said, “you're irrelevant”. But a Depp supporter wrote, “Well said Mickey Rourke , I think Amber Turd was a gold-digger and one evil B***H to ward's poor Johnny Depp . 👏👏 🔥 🔥 😍.” The second Depp fan added, “I don't agree with everything you say, but I do on the subject of AH. She absolutely was & is a gold digger (& liar, fraud, narcissist).”
