How did Mickey Guyton and Grant Savoy meet?
In 2017, the 'Black Like Me' singer shocked everybody when she revealed that she had married her longtime boyfriend Grant Savoy. The couple were together for an impressive seven years before they decided to walk down the altar. Mickey was reportedly introduced to Grant through her best friend who also happens to be his step-sister.

According to Grant's Twitter page he is a partner and co-founder of Solouki | Savoy, LLP in Los Angeles and a Complex Civil Litigator. The firm's website reveals that he completed his undergrad at California State University, Northridge and received his law degree from Southwestern Law School. He is a year younger to his wife.
Grant is reportedly his wife's 'biggest fan'. During an interview, the singer's producer Karen Kosowski recounted a sweet incident of how he reacted to his wife's song. "When she (Mickey) sang the vocal on ‘Bridges,’ her husband, Grant, ran into the room from the other room, going, ’What is happening in here? That sounds amazing!’ reported InTouch Weekly.
When did Mickey Guyton and Grant Savoy get married?
Mickey and Grant got married in 2017, in an intimate ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii. In an interview with PEOPLE she said, "Having a big wedding is really not my thing, so when my family decided on a vacation to Kauai, I thought, ‘Why not let it be a family vacation turned wedding?'” "We got married in front of 23 family and friends on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous! My husband has family from Kauai so it was important to him to have a luau at the wedding reception," she added.
Mickey occasionally posts sweet love notes to her husband on her social media. On their first anniversary in 2019, she posted, "They say find a man that loves you more than you love him. You’ve always said that you love me just a little bit more, and I never believed you until I showed you the ugliest parts of who I am. Instead of rejecting me, you love me anyway. Just when I thought I couldn’t love you more, you take me one step further. Thank you for building me up and holding me down. Thank you for never giving up on me even when I’ve given up on myself. The couple welcomed their first child in February 2021.
