ALVIN, TEXAS: A new surveillance footage photo that has emerged could offer a clue into the disappearance of school teacher Michelle Reynolds, 48. Reynolds went missing from her Texas home, two weeks ago. She was last seen by her husband Michael at their Alvin home on September 22. Her car was later found over 600 miles away in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Newly released footage shows Reynolds walking through New Orleans on September 23, a day after she disappeared, WDSU reported. She was reportedly caught on surveillance camera traveling south down Constance Street towards Pontchartrain Expressway at around 4 pm, wearing what appears to be the same dark bluish hoodie, leggings, and sandals she was last seen in. She is unaccompanied in the picture.

Reynolds' husband has expressed his concerns saying she was mentally ill and could be confused, according to The US Sun. "She's ill, she's probably confused. We just need her home," Michael said. Her car, a 2018 Lexus NX 300, was found on St Joseph Street in New Orleans on September 22.

"We were able to unlock the car and found that her personal items were still in the vehicle but she was not in the vehicle," Michael said to KHOU-11. "Her phone has not been used. Her phone was in the car. Her phone did have charge but it was turned off."

Michael also said his and Michelle’s children have not been keeping well after their mom disappeared. He said, “I am heading back to Houston now because I have three children. My daughter is having a really tough time and so is my 13-year-old daughter and my 11-year-old son as well. Please be on the lookout for Michelle. We love her and miss her dearly. We're doing everything we can to bring her home safe.”

Reynolds took her vehicle out and said she was going to get food, but she never returned. It would have taken six hours to drive from Alvin to New Orleans, considering the 362-mile distance. Reynolds is a sixth-grade language arts teacher and has been in the profession for eight years. At present, she teaches at Fairview Junior High School. "Please be on the lookout for Michelle. We love her and miss her dearly. We're doing everything we can to bring her home safe," Michael said. "Mental health crisis, it happens often in our country and I don't think it gets enough publicity, because it's kind of a stigma to have a mental health issue."

Anyone with information about Reynolds's possible whereabouts has been urged by authorities to contact the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office at (281) 331-9000.
