Kirk Douglas celebrate 103rd birthday, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones share sweet tributes

The Douglas family had a double celebration — especially after news that Michael Douglas had been once again nominated for a Golden Globe for his show 'The Kominsky Method'.

Kirk Douglas celebrated his birthday with his loved ones who showered him with admiration and love as the legendary actor turned 103.

That said, the Douglas family had a double celebration — especially after news that Michael Douglas has once again been nominated for a Golden Globe for his show 'The Kominsky Method'. Nonetheless, his father's birthday was the first thing on his mind. He shared a heartwarming photo of the pair on Instagram.

"Happy birthday Dad!" he wrote. "You are a living legend and your entire family sends you all the love in their hearts! #KirkDouglas #103"

Michael's stunning actress wife Catherine Zeta-Jones also joined in the celebration, sharing a throwback picture of her with Kirk.

"This guy on my knee, is 103!!!!! Happy Birthday Pappy!!! I love you with all my heart," she wrote.

Pappy -- the family name for Kirk -- also saw his oldest grandson Cameron, Michael's son from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker, wish him on Instagram. "Happy Birthday Pappy...you are a gift to the world; a guiding light and source of inspiration to me," he gushed. "I Love you. to infinity and beyond."

Meanwhile, his grandson Dylan, who is Michael and Catherine's son, also shared a throwback photo of his grandfather as a young man.

"They say time changes everything. And to some degree I agree," he wrote. "However, class is timeless, and the undisputed king of class is Kirk Douglas! Happy birthday Pappy 103!!! I love you."

Kirk's loved ones were seen bringing him presents and balloons with the veteran actor's face on them.

That said, Michael also received some love for his Golden Globe nomination. His doting wife Catherine shared a picture of the duo at last year's ceremony, which saw him win the Golden Globe. "Congratulations darling, Golden Globe nominee," she endearingly wrote.

Michael, who won Best Actor in a TV series, musical or comedy last year, is nominated in the same category for Netflix's 'The Kominsky Method'.
