Meredith Brooks says Alyssa Milano endorsing Biden ‘curdles’ her blood as inappropriate touching is not normal

“[Alyssa Milano]⁩ as a child victim of molestation this curdles my blood I’ve never spoken about this before but I have no choice now,” Brooks wrote. “You need to wake up”

Singer-songwriter Meredith Brooks accused Alyssa Milano of hypocrisy after she endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign after allegations were brought against the politician for inappropriately touching women and kids without their consent multiple times. Milano has been vocal in the past about supporting all victims of sexual misconduct.

“[Alyssa Milano]⁩ as a child victim of molestation this curdles my blood I’ve never spoken about this before but I have no choice now,” Brooks said, posting a collage of Biden touching and kissing a number of children on the campaign trail. “You need to wake up.”

The words, “Stop pretending this is normal" were written across the collage.

“Where are all the #MeToo supporters?” Brooks wrote in a separate tweet, alongside a New York Times tweet in which the paper reported that they found “no pattern of sexual misconduct by Biden beyond hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable.”

After endorsing Biden, Milano attacked his critics earlier this month by claiming that many people are bound to weaponize the MeToo movement for political gain.

“There is something to the idea that people are going to weaponize #metoo for political gain,” Milano said. “Just look at the replies here and look to see who those accounts are supporting in the primary. There always needs to be a thorough vetting of accusations.”

On her tweet, screenwriter David Weissman commented, saying, "I am willing to bet if a woman accused Bernie Sanders of rape, they would not believe her but use snake emojis with an # just like they did with Elizabeth Warren because they didn't believe her when she mentioned that Bernie told her that a woman couldn't be President."

After his reply, Brooks tweeted: “Not good enough come on girl you have to start trusting your instincts. Everyone but you can see the history, pictures, videos??? Maybe he’s not guilty but for you to endorse him without investigation Remember #BelieveWomen?”

Brooks is not the only one who accused Milano of not choosing the right side. Rose McGowan called her a "fraud" earlier this month alluding to her protest against Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh over unsubstantiated claims of past sexual misconduct.

"This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump and Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie. You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME," McGowan wrote

Instead of starting a feud with her, Milano took the high road and replied, "I continue to support you and applaud your bravery as well as acknowledge all the people you have helped along the way, @Rosemcgowan. Be well and stay safe.”

Later she appeared on SiriusXM’s 'Radio Andy' show with Andy Cohen and explained why she had been quiet about the allegations made against the Democratic candidate.

“I believe that even though we should believe women, and that is an important thing, and what that statement really means is that for so long the go-to has been to not to believe them,” she said. “So, really we have to societally change that mindset to believing women, but that does not mean at the expense of not giving men their due process and investigating situations. It’s got to be fair in both directions.”
