Donald and Melania Trump landed in India on Monday at Ahmedabad airport. On arrival, the Trumps were greeted by several photographers who clicked every step of the first family as they walked onto Indian soil. Amongst the most noticeable piece of attire worn by them was Trump's bright yellow tie and Melania's all-white pantsuit outfit that featured a green sash tied around the waist.

As videos and photos of their arrival began to circulate on social media, fans and followers were quick to notice what FLOTUS was wearing and critique it. Melania's white pantsuit with a sash left many Twitter users saying that it reminded them of a karate player in costume. A Twitter user also joked that Melania looked ready to defend herself in case she came across any 'handsy Indian men'.

The user wrote, "Quite smart of Melania to wear her karate clothes. She must have heard about handsy Indian men and is ready for self-defense." Another user added, "Wow. Melania has just got her Karate green belt. Way to go first lady," while a third shared, "Melania looks like she can kick all their asses In her karate suit."

"Is it only me or does everyone think Melania is ready for a round of karate?" another user wondered. This is not the first time that one of Melania's outfits has been compared to a karate costume. Back in 2017, Twitter made similar comparisons when the Trumps had visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The first lady's white pantsuit has been designed by Atelier Caito For Herve Pierre while the green sash seen tied around the waist is a cut out of an ancient Indian textile with some gold thread work. The designer's official account read, "We used the border which was the most Interesting piece we could use as it was a vintage piece."

In the lead up to Trump's visit, many had wondered whether Melania would sport the traditional saree or other items designed by desi Indian designers. Trump's choice of tie also received some scrutiny online with people questioning his decision to wear a neon yellow tie instead of the usualred.
