First lady Melania Trump has unveiled the White House Christmas decorations and it turns out the theme is very patriotic and Trump centric. The decor features the first family's different interests such as President Donald Trump's love of buildings, Melania's passion for 'Be Best' campaign, and Barron Trump's love for soccer.

The East Wing announced on Monday that the theme is going to be "American Treasures" and the decor will honor and highlight the "unique heritage of America."

In a statement, Melania shared, "This is a joyous time of year when we decorate the White House for the Christmas Season. Our theme honors the heart and spirit of the American people. Thank you to the many volunteers and staff who worked hard to decorate the halls of the People's House in Christmas cheer. On behalf of my family, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

Melania designed the entire theme and layout and chose to focus on patriotism. In a video clip shared to Melania's Twitter account, the colors red, white, and blue are seen everywhere. In the clip, the first lady is seen walking through the White House and looking at the results of hundreds of volunteers who had helped to decorate the White House while the first family was away for Thanksgiving.

The White House's Red Room has been decorated for children and also features 'Be Best' ornaments and also soccer ball decorations. The Christmas tree has been filled with items that Barron adores such as a soccer ball ornaments and cell phone ornaments. The tree also features a skateboard, a karate uniform, a film board clapper, cheese pieces, ice skates, books, and also a baseball glove.

The mantle has also been covered in white ornaments along with 'Be Best' written all over them in red and white and is a part of Melania Trump's signature campaign against bullying. There are also two wreaths which have been made out of 'Be Best' pencils on each windows in the room.

The East Room shows custom mantelpieces which feature the skylines of New York City, St. Louis, Chicago, and also San Francisco.

President Donald Trump had begun his real estate career by building buildings in many of the mentioned cities. The Chicago skyline also features the Trump Tower. The East Wing noted that through December, the White House will host around 100 open houses with around 30,000 visitors taking public tours.

The official Christmas card for the White House is green and has an etching of a gold White House on the cover. The card also has the signatures of Trump, Melania, and 12-year-old Barron. The ground and first floors are full of decorations, trees, ribbons, lights, and ornaments. The official White House Christmas tree will be kept in the Blue Room, it is around 18ft tall and will be decorated with red ornaments, blue ribbons, and white lights.
