Melania Trump channels Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn in stunning white two-piece suit as she meets the Queen
US first lady Melania Trump paid homage to late Princess Diana as she accompanied President Donald Trump for a lunch meeting to Buckingham Palace on Monday afternoon during their UK trip.
Melania wore an outfit which featured Diana's favorite color combinations (white and navy) - a custom white colored Dolce and Gabbana dress with contrasting blue collar as well as a flattering waist belt. She finished off the look with a white Hervé Pierre hat which had a thick navy band.
She completed her ensemble with a stunning pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.
The crisp and tailored outfit resembled several iconic looks sported by Diana including two white and navy skirt suits which she wore to public outings in the 1980s and early 1990s.
According to royal fans and experts, Melania may have also turned to the movies for inspiration and compared her outfit and look to Audrey Hepburn's who played Eliza Doolittle in 'My Fair Lady'.
The ensemble was Melania's third outfit in the span of 24 hours and her second in the day. She had arrived in London wearing a Burberry blouse and Michael Kors skirt suit.
The Trump's enjoyed a lunch with the Queen at the Buckingham Palace post a welcome to mark the official start of their three day State visit to the UK. They were greeted by the Queen, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker. Trump's daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner watched the welcome and the arrival from the palace balcony.
In total, Melania was seen in three different looks ever since her departure from the US to her visit to Buckingham Palace. When Melania left the Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Sunday, she was seen in a $4,400 Gucci shirt dress.
When arriving at Stansted Airport on Monday morning, she was seen sporting the $820 Burberry blouse which was printed with military medals. The pattern was a tribute to the upcoming 75th anniversary of D-Day. She wore the blouse with a knee length pencil skirt and a matching blazer. On Monday night, the Trumps will attend a state banquet which will be attended by senior members of the royal family including Prince William and Kate Middleton.
