Everyone knows about Donald Trump being the first billionaire in the history of the United States to becomes president. But many are unaware of the kind of wealth that two major women in his life hold -- his wife, Melania, and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
Melania might now have a new, more popular identity of being the first lady or FLOTUS, but long before she married Trump in 2005, she had already started making her own fortune. The Slovenian-born mother-of-one was once a supermodel, socialite, and designer.
She started modeling at the age of 18. Melania went on to work in multiple countries including Milan and Paris before moving coming to the United States. She had graced the covers of famous fashion outlets such as Vogue, New York Magazine and Vanity Fair before launching her own jewelry collection, Melania Timepieces, as well as Melania Skin Care Collection, Express reported.
While her jewelry pieces priced from $30 up to $200 sold out on QVC within minutes of going live, her skincare line was a hit in luxury department stores, bringing in royalties of between $15,000 and $50,000 in 2016. However, once her husband won the Presidential Election, she cut ties with all her companies.

Ivanka, on the other hand, has also made a fortune in her own right, working as a businesswoman, author and now a senior adviser to her father. Trump's daughter from his first marriage has an estimated net worth of $300 million according to Wealthy Gorilla, which makes her wealthier than FLOTUS.
The first daughter also boasts of having a combined net worth with her husband Jared Kushner of $800 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Among the paying jobs that she has held over the years are executive vice president of the family-owned Trump Organization, as well as managing the interior design for Trump hotels. She has also appeared on Trump’s show 'The Apprentice' as a boardroom judge.
Also, rather than owning parts of the family business, she has opted to receive an estimated $35 million in pretax salary, commissions and bonuses over the past two decades, along with her siblings, which added to her growing wealth.
Much like her stepmother, Ivanka ran a fashion business with her own jewelry line as well as handbags and shoes, which made around $75 million a year in sales by 2013. She profited around $10 million per year in pre-tax earnings after receiving a seven percent cut of the wholesale revenues. She continued to run her business even after her father became president in 2016. However, when sales plummeted, she was forced to shut down the businesses in 2018.
Both she and her husband now work as unpaid employees in her father's administration. However, that has not stopped her from making headlines, just like Melania, with her expensive outfit choices.
Despite their millions, the two ladies fall far behind Trump, whose own net worth stands at $3.1 billion.
