Melania Trump's outfits and colors have become more 'conservative' since moving into the White House: Expert
According to stylist Naina Singla, "Her style is more refined, elegant, and polished; even though it's not super conservative, it is more conservative compared to what she wore in years past"
Melania Trump, 49, is a fashion icon and has never failed to impress with her outfit choices.
However, it seems like she has become a lot more conservative with her dressing sense since entering the White House. She has been in a high profile relationship with Donald Trump ever since they got married in 2005. In some ways, she has used her political role to become more vocal but seems to have become conservative in other ways, the Express reports.
The first lady appears to take her style very seriously and has been photographed in many beautiful looks and designer clothing. Last year, she was seen in outfits that totaled an estimate of around $252,715.
However, her style has definitely seen a shift, stylist Naina Singla shares. After analyzing pictures of Melania before and after she became the first lady, it seems like her style has become much more formal. "Her style is more refined, elegant, and polished; even though it's not super conservative, it is more conservative compared to what she wore in years past," Singla said.
"In terms of colors, Melania loves white and black, monochromes, and vibrant colors. She loves wearing sheath dresses and is often seen belting her looks to accentuate her waistline," she added before saying this contrasts from the outfits that the first lady had worn before the election.
"Melania Trump has toned down her style. She used to wear more form-fitting dresses, baby doll dresses, plunging necklines, and miniskirts. But now we would not see her wearing such styles. She dropped her hemline since becoming the First Lady and she wears more pants and pantsuits. Her look is more polished and professional," Singla explained.
Her conservative looks also come with an expensive price tag and also several well-known brand names. "Melania has repeatedly stated that she wishes the media would focus less on her outfits and more on the work she is doing. But it could be argued that she could use her fashion choices to her advantage and to promote various causes," Singla revealed.
