LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megyn Kelly criticized Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday, September 8, labeling her as the "worst White House press secretary ever."

Jean-Pierre, 49, holds the distinction of being the first Black woman to serve as White House press secretary, as well as the first openly gay person in this role.

Jill Biden praised her in Vogue, describing her as a groundbreaking figure in her position, emphasizing her grace, integrity, and insight while commending her "calm, quiet confidence" as a source of inspiration.

Kelly ridiculed what she considered "ordinary and unimpressive responses" from Jean-Pierre and also made fun of her Vogue profile.

She used her podcast to openly ridicule the description of Jean-Pierre. "You would think that she were like the first lady or some prime minister the way they did give her sort of the royal treatment," said Kelly.

"And they have covered her like she is our true next leader who's going to take us rhetorically into the next season. She's got to be the worst White House press secretary ever. And I include Sean Spicer in there."

Concerns about Karine Jean-Pierre's use of note binder in press briefings

Critics have pointed out that Karine Jean-Pierre frequently uses pre-written answers and keeps notes in a binder, leading to some concerns about her spontaneity during press briefings.

Vogue's author, Mattie Kahn, wrote, "Some in the press corps have complained that Jean-Pierre reads too much from her binder - that she sounds rehearsed. That is because she rehearses. In prep, she chooses adjectives and verbs with fastidious care," as per Daily Mail.

Jean-Pierre told the magazine that she was adamant about never speaking in a personal capacity while on the podium. "I signed up to speak on behalf of this president. That's why he selected me," she said.

Kelly openly criticized Jean-Pierre's approach. "That she is up there rehearsing those banal answers, allegedly choosing her adjectives and verbs with fastidious care," said Kelly.

Megyn Kelly claims Karine Jean-Pierre was appointed for being 'black and lesbian'

Kelly claimed that Jean-Pierre, who is the daughter of Haitian immigrants and a single mother to a nine-year-old adopted daughter named Soleil, was appointed solely due to her identity.

"That's the reason she's there, very first black and lesbian White House Press Secretary - because we really needed those boxes to be checked," said Kelly.

"She lies, they all do, but she lies every other day about Hunter Biden. She never answers the question, there is no integrity there and there's certainly zero insight she's provided since she took over the job."

However, in her interview with Vogue, Jean-Pierre mentioned that personal attacks were an inherent part of her job, and she did not let them affect her personally.

"I take none of it personally," she said, as per the NY Post. "I'm representing the president, so petty is just not on the menu."
