Megyn Kelly defends Elon Musk after he was accused by Media Matters of running antisemitic content
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News and NBC star Megyn Kelly have lashed out at the New York Times and MSNBC for supposedly calling out Elon Musk’s antisemitism after X (formerly Twitter) was accused by Media Matters of running "pro-nazi" content.
Musk has denied all the allegations in the report and has since threatened “thermonuclear” legal action against Media Matters.
The left-wing news organization accused X of running ads for companies like Apple, IBM, Oracle, and more next to “pro-nazi content.”
In the wake of the report, Apple and IBM suspended advertising on the platform, while others were said to be considering following suit.
However, Kelly called Media Matters “dishonest” and “awful” and told her viewers that she too was the subject of their “smear” campaigns in the past.
Although, for now, Kelly took note of the New York Times and MSNBC’s anti-Musk coverage and called them out on the same.
Megyn Kelly calls out the New York Times and MSNBC on Elon Musk
During her podcast, ‘The Megyn Kelly Show,’ the veteran journalist discussed Media Matters turning their attention to X and Elon Musk with Emily Jashinsky, culture editor for The Federalist, and Eliana Johnson, co-host of the Ink-Stained Wretches podcast.
After discussing how many media outlets were now targeting Musk for his supposed antisemitism, the veteran journalist said, “Cue, the New York Times, LA Times, MSNBC which as far as I know still employs Mehdi Hassan among others who is like the chief Hamas defender.”
Kelly pointed out the hypocrisy of these organizations and continued, “They’re outraged at the antisemitism here allegedly by Elon and X. They’re getting the vapors”
In a mocking tone, Kelly said, “They’re horrified at the blatant display of antisemitism here. Spare me!”
Kelly later added that the “sole goal of Media Matters is to get conservatives fired, to get anyone right of center fired, ruined, canceled. That’s what they exist for.”
