Megyn Kelly slams Chris Cuomo's 'Covid basement stunt' and claims Andrew Cuomo 'killed off 6,000 seniors'
Megyn Kelly tore into Chris Cuomo on Thursday and called him out for his 'fake covid basement stunt'. She also accused him of hypocrisy over masks and slammed his brother and New York Governor Andrew of 'killing off 6,000 seniors' in care homes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Kelly took to Twitter to slam Chris after the CNN host had shared a video mocking her comments about POTUS Donald Trump supporters and the election. Kelly herself had prompted the fight, tweeting to the Director of Speechwriting for Barack Obama, Jon Favreau who called her 'utterly pathetic'.
She shared, "You have zero understanding of the mood of 70 million Americans who have been unfairly attacked relentlessly for the past four years as awful ppl just for supporting their president." After this, actor George Hahn made a video where he mocked Kelly's tweet and pretended to be an upset Trump supporter.

This video was retweeted by Chris Cuomo after which Kelly slammed him. While speaking of Chris' brother Andrew and how he handled the Covid-19 pandemic, she said, "OMG @ChrisCuomo I totally thought this was you doing more terrible acting like when you had COVID (while your brother was killing off 6k seniors) &, after exposing half ur neighborhood while not wearing your mask, did your fake emergence from the basement!"
Omg @ChrisCuomo! I totally thought this was you doing more terrible acting like when you had COVID (while your brother was killing off 6k seniors) &, after exposing half ur neighborhood while not wearing your mask, did your fake emergence from the basement! But this guy is better https://t.co/kIhtXuly1e

"For those confused, Chris Cuomo retweeted that little acting tweet - wanted me to see it - and thankfully I did!" she added. Chris did not respond to Kelly but did respond to a fan who had labeled her a 'complete embarrassment'. He said, "Leave it alone. Everyone trying to be relevant. Hostility sells."
"Focus on righteous indignation: Trump at his worst screaming fraud with no facts. Gop'ers playing at the same must be remembered and held to account," Chris added.
Kelly's comments about Chris and Andrew left social media users divided, with some slamming her and others agreeing. One user who slammed her wrote, "omg! you’re going to call out the cuomo brothers but you won’t call out the president who’s responsible for 238k deaths .. yikes!!"
Another added, "She’s clearly pissed and looking for a fight. She won’t let it go. Really starting to think it’s a PR stunt. She’s out here attacking everyone with a blue check mark." Yet another shared, "Cuomo didn't kill off 6K seniors - Covid-19 did. I am looking for your tweets also calling trump a murderer but I don't see them. Guess they didn't teach logic at your law school Megyn."

There were some users who did seem to support her. One such user had commented, "Actually the governor had an executive order to put over 6,000 Covid patients into nursing homes. So yeah, he definitely had a hand in their deaths." Another wrote, "Keep at it @megynkelly. We have missed your analysis, real questions, real journalism and ability to see through the BS on both sides. Haters gonna hate." "Megyn! I don’t post on Twitter but I come here for info without the noise. As a female MD, I can’t thank you enough for calling Cuomo out on his hypocrisy. His whole Covid series was beyond disturbing. Don’t stop! We need you," shared yet another user.
