Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had taken to social media to announce that they would be stepping down as senior members of the royal family and were striving to be 'financially independent'.

They also stated they would be dividing their time between Britain and North America ( Canada) going forward. With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex firm on their decision to move on from royal life, the inevitable question lurking behind all of this is, what about their 8-month-old baby Archie? Even though the parents may have chosen to quit being senior members of the British royal family, would Archie ever be able to become a senior working member of the royal family should he want to?

Royal expert Penny Junor spoke to MEAWW (MEA WorldWide) and says that it is too early to tell. "If his parents are not working members of the family, I think it highly unlikely that he would," Junor shared. However, Junor has not dismissed the possibility of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex making a return to the royal family either.

"They have not lost their HRHs, and I can see no reason why they might not one day make a come back. Who knows what the future holds? Anything could happen," she revealed. We had previously reported that as per the terms of the couple's negotiation, they will not be using their HRH titles for personal gain though their royal titles shall remain intact and very much in use.

Should the Sussex baby decide to return to being a senior working royal when he grows up, he will take on his father's title when Prince Harry dies, "otherwise he is unlikely to have one," Junor shared.

Even though there are many members of the royal family who are linked to the armed forces, Junor says that Archie will not necessarily have to serve in the army. Archie's father, Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William had both served in the army and though "there are strong links between the monarchy and the armed forces, it is not expected of every family member."

Off late, Meghan Markle has been reportedly telling her friends that leaving the royal family is one of the best things to happen to Prince Harry. As reported by Daily Mail, a friend of hers recently shared, "It was her love for him that made this possible. She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed and she simply couldn't stand to see him suffer anymore."

Prince Harry was seen with a huge smile on his face as he stepped off a plane in Vancouver late Monday night.
