Meghan Trainor gets married to Daryl Sabara in an intimate backyard wedding ceremony
The singer's wonderful relationship with Sabara as her partner is what inspired Trainor's upcoming third album, 'Treat Myself', which is due in 2019
Meghan Trainor is finally a married woman! The 'All About That Bass' singer tied the knot with actor Daryl Sabara on Saturday, which was also coincidentally her 25th birthday.
The Grammy winner, in front of 100 close friends and family, wed Sabara in an intimate backyard ceremony at their LA home. “It’s the beginning of an awesome, whole new life,” Trainor said to People. “I got way more than I ever wished for.”
“I’m the luckiest guy in the world,” added the 26-year-old 'Spy Kids' star. For her wedding day, the bride was dressed in an elegant Berta gown, Badgley Mischka heels, and Norman Silverman jewels. For the reception, the singer chose to wear a lace suit by Rita Vinieris and Aldo sneakers to get the party started, while her guests noshed on an assortment of comfort foods.
When asked about what the newlyweds were looking forward to the most after their marriage, “Just rockin’ them rings!” said Trainor. Sabara and the singer exchanged bands with hand-written vows during the ceremony, which was coordinated by the wedding planners. “I’m really excited to say ‘hubby’ and ‘husband.'”
"Indeed, I’m no longer the ‘future hubby’ — I get to just be the hubby, which I’m excited about!” added Sabara, alluding to Trainor’s 2015 hit single “Dear Future Husband.”
Trainor first met Sabara in 2014 at an LA house party, before the singer rose to fame later that same year. However, it was their common friend, actress Chloë Grace Moretz, who played matchmaker in 2016 and set them up for a date.
Sparks flew, and in no time, the duo started seeing each other. After a year of dating, Sabara popped the question to the 'No' singer, but her reply wasn't the same as the name of her song! The dream proposal came in front of Trainer's family during a trip to Palm Springs in December 2017.
The singer's wonderful relationship with Sabara as her partner is what inspired Trainor's upcoming third album, 'Treat Myself', which is due in 2019. As for their wedding, in lieu of gifts, the happy couple asked friends and family to donate to the World Wildlife Fund on their behalf.
