Samantha Markle takes a dig at the royal family over the Duchess of Sussex's 'kindergarten' coat of arms
Meghan had worked closely to make sure the coat of arms is what she wanted it to be. Everything in the coat of arms represents Meghan and the things she chooses to be known for.
The Duchess of Sussex was recently given her coat of arms by the royal family and while everyone seemed pleased with it, there was one person who expressed concerns and it was her sister, Samantha Markle. Samantha has been vocal about her various problems with Meghan Markle and the royal family and from the looks of it, she has another to add to her endless list.
In her recent social media outburst, she slammed the way Meghan's coat of arms looks as she noted that it “looks like it was drawn by someone in a kindergarten classroom”. She thought that the design of the arms was “silly” because neither the UN, women’s rights nor “anything of substance” is represented. Samantha and Meghan have not spoken to each other since 2015 and she seems to be taking it upon herself to tell that the world how the coat of arms does not represent who Meghan is.
“Quills for communication?" she said. “She does not communicate with people she cuts people out of her life including a best friend of 30 years and two speeches in her whole life does not make her a public speaker. Her degrees are in drama and foreign affairs and only a bachelor degree.”
She added, "Her motto is say nothing and she cut everyone off.” Samantha was quick to point out that Meghan had not included her parents in the coat of arms. “It just seems like the coat of arms was thrown together he’s [sic] silly because neither the UN, nor women’s rights, nor anything of substance.. but especially our dad and even her mom is not represented there," she said. "It is an empty coat of arms so it makes no sense.”
She even took a dig at the royals for letting this happen. “Our father should be named on the coat of arms and for the Royals to deprive him of that is classless," she tweeted. Previously she had written, " Extremely improper that my father was not named on the coat of arms and quite frankly looks like it was drawn by someone in a kindergarten classroom.”
There is no doubt that it is a break from tradition for Meghan to receive the coat of arms and not her father. However, it was reported that Meghan worked closely to make sure the coat of arms is what she wanted it to be. Everything in the coat of arms represents Meghan and the things that surround her life.
