Meghan Markle admits she lied to casting directors to get small roles in newly unearthed clip: 'I was a fraud'

Rumors are afloat that Meghan Markle is planning on returning to the screens after she and Prince Harry decided to quit their roles as royals and lead an independent life. 

And now a video of the Duchess of Sussex calling herself “fraud”, has resurfaced, in which she is seen admitting to lying to casting directors for a small role in one of her earlier television shows. 

In the clip from one of ‘Suits’ promotions, Meghan is seen confessing to telling the casting directors that she was part of the actors’ union when she wasn’t. 

She says, “I was Taft-Harteleyed, which is I pretended I was union.... and you have to... it was the pilot called Century City with Héctor Elizondo. And I got there, and thy're like - so you're union. And I'm like of course, I'm union I mean yeah absolutely. And then I wasn't.”

“To this day those casting directors will never hire me,” Meghan quipped. 

The couple is currently splitting time between Canada and the UK. They have already started living the transition phase of their life, and speculations are strong that they might settle in Toronto, which has become “second home” to Meghan since she moved to Canada where ‘Suits’ was being filmed. Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland has been spending time with her daughter and grandson Archie, while the family stays in Vancouver Island. 

Meghan has always shared a close relationship with her mother and has been vocal about Doria’s support in all of the decisions she has made, including Megxit with Prince Harry. “She and Meghan are so close. Harry really gets on well with her too. Any new mom wants her own mom around at this time, so it’s great,” a source told PEOPLE. 

“She definitely gets a lot of her strength from her mother,” they further added.
