Meghan may spill beans on Kate Middleton rift in Oprah interview causing ‘monarchy vast damage’, fears Palace
Meghan Markle might have some nasty things to say about Kate Middleton in her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey that could “vastly” damage the monarchy, royal aides have feared. The palace staff is also worried that the bold revelations might affect Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship. An insider said, “This is Meghan’s nuclear option. If she has chosen to speak candidly about her time with Kate then the damage that could be done to the monarchy is vast. She has the power to lay bare just how bad things really were between her, Harry, William, and Kate.”
A recent teaser released by CBS has already shown Meghan accusing her in-laws of “perpetuating falsehoods”. When Winfrey asked her, “How do you feel about the Palace hearing you speak your truth today?" The former actress replied, “I don't know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And, if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, I... there is a lot that has been lost already.”

But a source with knowledge of the bombshell interview has claimed that Meghan has only “kind words” for her sister-in-law and the Duke of Cambridge. The insider also said that the two-hour sit down won’t affect the relationship between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, who were once called “Fab Four”. In addition, the Palace has also not reportedly shown interest in the no-holds-barred interview, which will air at 8 pm on CBS and the next day on ITV for UK viewers. “On Monday most people in Britain will be thinking about schools going back, getting the vaccine and, at the Palace particularly, looking forward to the Duke of Edinburgh coming out of hospital. This is just a sideshow,” sources said.
Earlier a report said that Meghan once left Kate in tears over a bridesmaids' dress fitting before her royal wedding with Harry three years ago. The soon-to-be mother of two has also been accused of forcing palace aides to quit their jobs. But the allegations have been refuted by Meghan as well as her lawyer, who claimed that the royals are presenting “a wholly false narrative” before the release of the Sunday show. The words of the lawyer have negatively affected the family as a source said, “It is absolutely untrue that the Palace has been peddling disinformation or conducting any kind of campaign ahead of the interview. The Palace has not got involved. It has clearly not been coming from us. They assumed that the men in grey suits were obsessed with destroying them.”
Meanwhile, another report has claimed that Meghan and Harry’s tell-all with Winfrey will attract more of an audience than the Super Bowl, which was watched by over 96.4 million people on TV and online. Laure-Anne Bosselaar, Santa Barbara’s poet laureate, spoke about the hype around the interview as she said, “Everybody’s going to watch. I hope there is more people watching than the Super Bowl. At last they are not stuck with the royals in England, and there is freedom of speech."
