Meghan Markle is set to embark on a new journey with plans of turning into a published author. The Duchess of Sussex is set to pen down her first children's book. Reportedly, the book will be a work of fiction and will not be connected to her life inside the British royal family. Buzz is that she is developing a new idea and seems to have pinned down the theme on her love for animals, including tales of her rescue dog.

Meghan and Harry already have two dogs in the household -- a labrador and the former 'Suits' actor's rescue beagle Guy.

A royal insider told The Sun, "Meghan is going to become a published author and is very excited about it. The plans are in the very early stages and won’t be formally announced for some time. But she’s very excited about the possibility and is passionate about the idea of a work of fiction for children. She loves animals and her rescue dogs so it’s very likely they will be incorporated into the story."

Confirming that the book will not reveal any detail about the British royal family, the source added, "Any book will absolutely not be some sort of tell-all about her life in the royal family.”

Before she turns 38 on August 4, 2019, there is much speculation around the final theme of the kids' book and led to comparisons with 'Meg and Mog', the series of children's book written by Helen Nicoll and illustrated by Jan Pieńkowski.

The former 'Suits' star is set to follow in the footsteps of royal writers like Prince Charles and Sarah Ferguson, who also have children's books to their credit.

While the former released a children’s book in 1980 called 'The Old Man of Lochnagar', the latter is known for writing a series of books about a character called Budgie the Helicopter.

The news comes just after Vogue's edition guest-edited by Meghan goes on sale. She faced much backlash for including left-wing political figures in the September issue and was also accused of copying the cover from a 2016 book.

Shortly after its release, fans spotted quite a lot of similarities with the bestselling book 'The Game Changers', penned by Australian authors Samantha Brett and Steph Adams. The authors told Fox News that the semblance with their book, which Meghan had contributed to in 2016, is "flattering" but "disappointing."
